Born Oct. 12, 1991
In her work, Reeves utilizes audience-participatory performance, immersive installations, art in the public sphere, and collaboration to evoke emotional well-being in viewers. She often addresses the spiritual chasms left from the destructive tendencies of capitalism; a damaged relationship to the land and a lost connection with our psyches, which in turn has wreaked havoc on the ecosystem, the individual, and the collective consciousness. Her sculptures, installations, and performances incorporate magical realism and the supernatural to holistically explore ideas surrounding personal, societal, and environmental healing.
Reeves earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alfred University and her Masters of Fine Arts at Arizona State University in Phoenix, AZ, where she graduated in April 2018. Reeves’ public work is in the permanent collections of The University of Montevallo, Alfred University, and Salem Art Works, as well as private collections around the world. Reeves currently lives and works in Phoenix, Arizona, where she runs her art and design studio full time.
