Requiem for Clarity is an interactive installation built with fabric, wood, glass, an arduino micro-controller, LED lights and steel. In the center is a bowl of sacred water which was blessed by a priest, a psychic, an artist-shaman, two internet ordained ministers and the artist herself. When the water is touched, a vibrant light simulating a heartbeat is activated, and then returns to series of calming blue hues, signifying a transition which occurs when the water is touched by a living being. The piece is made to highlight the sacredness and importance of water as well as our lack of community and ritual in modern life.
